I type in my code, but the safe won’t open, what do I do?
If you are having the issue that you are typing in your code, but the safe will not open, this means that in 95% of the cases, a battery change will solve the issue. In general, this is always the first step to do when troubleshooting your lock.
Please note that some of the BR5010 locks, you do not need to turn the disc, but only need to enter the code and then turn the handle instead.
How do I change the battery on my safe?
Usually, the battery holder can be found underneath the lock itself. You open the lid and remove the battery and replace it with a 9V Alkaline battery, always top quality (Varta, Duracell, Energizer)
Depending on your lock, sometimes the battery holder can be found on the inside of the safe. Then you will either have an emergency key to open the safe (for example the Kaba Mauer B30) or you will have two poles on the lock where you can place the battery, whilst opening the safe, to later replace the battery inside the safe (M-Locks DE20).

I changed the battery, but it still did not work, what do I do?
Please do a keypad check, you can find instructions how to do a keypad check in your lock manual. If this did not solve the issue, please record a video of what happens when you try to open the lock and send the video to SafeGear.
